He was predeceased by: his parents, Roméo Poirier and Clara Poirier; and his brothers, Gérald (Gertrude) and Claude (Adeline). He is survived by: his wife Lucia; his children, Marie-Thérèse Baril of Mandeville, QC, Gaston (Johanne) of Repentigny, QC and Réjean (Nicole) of Moncton; his siblings, Maurice of Dieppe, Réginald (Jeanne Cormier) of Bathurst, Raymonde Noël (late Vincent) of Bathurst and Lorraine Poirier (late Valmond Dugas) of Bathurst; and his grandchildren, Cédric and Karelle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
