He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nora Chant and Ivan; his wife Tammy Nixon (Dumville); his son Riley; his sister Lori Shea (Rob); his stepbrothers, Don Chant and Derek Chant (Heather); his nieces, Macy, Hannah and Erin; his nephew Fletcher; his parents-in-law, Colin and Wanda Dumville; his brother-in-law Troy Dumville (Andree); and his grandparents, Anita and Jude Cormier of Moncton.

Due to the current restrictions of COVID-19, a celebration of Steve's life will be held at a later date.
