She was predeceased by: her parents, Garnet Margeson and Irene Margeson (Fisher); her husband Frederick Thomas Kierstead; her close friend Vaughn Murray; her son Russell Kierstead; her great grandchild Brody; and her siblings, Betty Gavin, Chuck Mergeson and Garnet "Bunny" Mergeson.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Lou Kierstead (Darren Meredith), Brenda Kierstead (Dennis Steeves), Patricia "Patti" Kierstead (late Dale Mills), Johnny Kierstead (Sheri Davis), Darlene Kierstead, Charlene Stables (Ed Lutes), Tanya Kierstead and Melissa Kierstead; and her sisters, Shirley Watts, Judy Wood (Jerry), Dale Arsenault (Ray) and Linda Merrick (T. John). She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
