He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gordon Hitchcock and Clara Hitchcock (Roach); his daughters, Jill Murray (Tim) of Moncton, Carrie Williams (Scott) of Riverview and Krystal Hitchcock of Moncton; his close friend Gloria Carroll; his grandchildren, Dylan, Teagan and Tahlia; and his siblings, Marlene Guay (Antoine), Jeanie Guay (Alphonse), Drummond, Betty Stewart (Everett), Miramichi, Brenda McMenamon (Michael), Louis Hitchcock (Helene), Barbara and Brian. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and extended family members and his two cats.

In Vance's memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
