He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Isaac Ward and Lila Ward (Cail); his children, Jo Ann Cail (Jonathan) of Moncton, Della Ward of New Glasgow, NS and Grant Ward of Molus River; his grandchildren, Heather, Tracy, Cheryl, Shelley, Timmy, Tommy and Julie; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Skyler, Sam, Brandon, Samantha, Emma, Brittany, Olivia, Brantley, Hailey and Maddie; his sisters, Lillian Mills of New Brunswick, Avanelle Penfold and Alberta Holmes; his wife Helen Ward (Barnes); his daughter Myrtle; and his siblings, Marjorie, Edna and Aubrey. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

In memory of Vernon, donations to the Ladies Auxillary Harcourt Legion Branch No. 75 would be appreciated.
