He was predeceased by: his parents, William Briggs and Neita Briggs (Wall); his son Dale; his wife Florence Briggs; and his siblings, Carmel (Marceline), Raymond (Dorette) and Carol Belliveau.

He is survived by: his daughter Lorraine Lirette (Noel); and his grandchildren, Mariah Lirette (Brendan Wahl), Tanner Lirette and Jessica Briggs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
