He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis Swan and Mina Swan (Patterson); his wife Muriel Swan (Christie); his brother Wetzel Swan; and his siblings-in-law, Lorraine Tracy and Frank Holland.

He is survived by : his son Michael Swan; his grandchildren, Rachel Swan and Shelby Swan (Stephanie); his daughter-in-law Laurel Sloan; his sisters-in-law, Elinor Holland and Sylvia Swan (Cecil); and his cousins, Jerry Moffitt and Jack Moffitt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
