It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Evelyn Laura McEwen of Nackawic, New Brunswick, born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, who passed away on October 24, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Evelyn shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Evelyn farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Embleton and Isabel Embleton (Rosborough); her husband Murray McEwen; and her sister-in-law Gloria Embleton. She is survived by: her brother David Embleton (Susan); her niece Kristin Gillis (Dan); her great-nephew Nolan; her brothers-in-law, Edgar Finnis (Chris) and Mark Finnis (Gail); and her niece Carol Heppell. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
