She was predeceased by : her husband Eugene Caverhill; her parents, Perley Cronkhite and Bessie Cronkhite (MacDonald); and her brothers, Arnold, Allen and Carl Cronkhite.

She is survived by : her sons, Paul Caverhill (Anne) and Peter Caverhill (Robin); her grandchildren, Marisa (Tom), Bruce (Amie), Brennan (Olena) and Mike (Sandra); her great grandchildren, Jackson, Bennett, Emma, Sarah and Daniel; and her close friends, Laurie and Clinton Conrad. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Ruth, the family has suggested the Nackawic Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
