He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald R. Nichol and Florence Nichol (King); his siblings, Agnes, Delmar, Raymond and Michael; and his stepdaughter Nicole.

He is survived by: his wife Kaly Nichol; his sons, Michael Nichol (Margery) and Patrick Nichol; his grandchildren, Jennifer Barclay (Kevin), Wesley Nichol and Abigail Lukings (Nathan); his great grandchildren, Elizabeth McInnis (Brock) and Grayson McInnis; his siblings, Louisa Atkinson, Rev. Mary Annette Duncan (Terry), Winnifred Plante (Gerry), Joyce Nichol, Ira Nichol, Frederick Nichol (Janet), Kenneth Nichol and Donald Nichol (Suzette); his sisters-in-law, Tina Nichol and Marcia Nichol; his stepchildren, Diane, Isabel, Raymond, Carole, Michelle and Kamonchanok Osathanon (Prompong); his stepgrandchild Thanakon Osathanon (Sakuna); Wachiraporn, Phimchanok Khumsap, Thansinee and Thanchanok Osathanon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
