James Willard Porter Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Willard Porter of Nelson Hollow, New Brunswick, born in Doaktown, New Brunswick, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Porter and Anita Porter (Doak) of Doaktown, NB.; his siblings, David, Archibald Porter and Anna Morehouse; his son James Porter (Jamie); his niece Heather Porter; and his stepmother Lillies Porter.

He is survived by: his wife Valerie Porter (Price); his children, Bonnie Robinson (Brent) of Doaktown, NB and Jeff Porter (Judy) of Doaktown, NB.; his grandchildren, Heidi Dobbelsteyn (Brandon) of Fredericton, NB, Lacey Clowater (David) of Taymouth, NB and Misty Porter (Lucas) of McNamee, NB; his great grandchildren, Landon, Lydia, Jase, Noah, Beckett, Brady, Callen, Quinn and Ayla; his brother Myles Porter (Angela); and his daughter-in-law Mary-Lou Porter. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.

As an avid supporter of the Community Arena and a hockey enthusiast; the family has asked that donations be made to either the Doaktown Arena or the Boiestown/Doaktown Minor Hockey Association.
