It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Elizabeth Carten (New Bandon Northumb Co, New Brunswick), born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, who passed away on February 23, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Ernest Carten; her parents, Randolph Firth and Elva Firth (Marks); and her brothers, Ralphie Firth, George Firth and Darrell Firth.

She is survived by : her children, Barbara Fullarton (Tom), Tammy Carten (Tony), Laura Beddow (Harry), Lisa Carten (Donnie), Elva Armstrong (Philip), Ernie Carten (Sandra) of Fredericton, NB and Mark Carten of Fredericton, NB; and her nephew Randy Firth. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
