He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Lapointe and Victoria Lapointe (Chouinard); his grandson Christian Guay; and his siblings, Laurent Lapointe, Lucien Lapointe, Marguerite Goudreau and Irène (late Edgar Glazer).
He is survived by: his wife Jocelyne Lapointe (Daigle); his children, Mélanie Guay (Brian) of New Denmark, Caroline Lapointe (Donald Levesque) of Saint-Leonard and Lee-Roy Lapointe (Kim St-Pierre) of California Settlement; his grandchildren, Samantha, Danika and Corey; his siblings, Jeannette (late John Hamblin) of Connecticut, Yvonne (Roger Cormier) of Campbellton, Clémence (late Jean Blaquière), Donald (Johanne Mallais) of Kedgwick, Gertrude (Rodrigue Robichaud) of Shippagan, Aurèle (Roberte Tremblay) of Edmundston, Solange (late René Caron) of Montréal, Robert, Gisèle (late George Stiles) and Doris (late Rosaire Laforest) of Grand Falls; and his siblings-in-law, Donia Ratté (late Laurent Lapointe) of Kedgwick, Linda (late Lucien Lapointe) of Moncton and Edouard Goudreau of Grand Falls. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the O'Regan's Funeral Home (515 Everard H Daigle Boul, Grand-Sault, NB E3Z 2R5). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the St-Michel Roman Catholic Church (1369 Chem. Tobique, Drummond, NB E3Y2P4).
