She was predeceased by : her parents, Hazen Tompkins and Goldie Tompkins; her brothers, Douglas and George Tompkins; her son Robert Hazen Monteith; and her great grandchildren, Gabe and Brennan Bubar.

She is survived by : her husband Oliver Monteith; her children, Esther Gallop (Allison), Judy Gilliss (Donald), Nancy Bubar (Gregory), Louise Dickinson (Ronald), Doreen Folkins (Mark) and John Monteith (Darlene Saunders); her sister Joan Fowler (Ken); and her sisters-in-law, Gloria Tompkins, Gwen Tompkins and Marie Lawrence (Basil). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Grafton Baptist Church or to the River Valley Cancer Support Group.
