He was predeceased by: his parent Jean Black; and his siblings, Claudia Hamilton and Dale Belyea. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Black; his daughters, Ashley Black, Melanie Acott (Ben) and Destiny Black; his grandchildren, Travis Johnston, Skylar Acott and Benson Acott; his father Darrell Black; his siblings, Gordon Elliott, Ann Elliott, Donna Black (Allison Tapley), Donald Black and Davis Black (Michelle Hourahan-Morris); his parent-in-law Robert Lozier; his siblings-in-law, Annette Power (Stanley), Edith MacDonald (Travis) and Jeffrey Varney; and also Cora Lozier. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
