He was predeceased by : his parents, John Saunders and June Saunders (Penfold); his grandson Eric; his sister Ann Byers; his brothers-in-law, John Robertson and Raymond Bernard; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Hellen Hay (Tayes).
He is survived by : his wife Donna Saunders (Hay); his children, Patricia MacNab (Robert Carey) of New Minas, NS, Bobbi-Jo Desruisseau (Mark) of Sussex, NB and Barry Saunders (Lisa Vanderkaay) of Spruce Grove, AB; his grandchildren, Ryan, Jacy, Robert, Nicholas, Jeremy, Darren, Nathan, Maea, Dylan and Adalie; his great grandchildren, Stirling, Carter, Penelope, Asher, Elsie, Skye and Aleena; his siblings, Robert Saunders (Christine), Mike Saunders (Marie), John Saunders (Karen), Sally Bernard, Linda Robertson, Suzanne Chestnut (Stewart) and Molly DeLany (Chris); and his brother-in-law Donald Byers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
