He was predeceased by : his parents, Rena Richer (Landry) and Rudy Richer. He is survived by : his wife Darlene "Dar" Richer; his children, Jake Hayden (Aleta) and Sheena Caissie (Alexis Levesque); and his grandchildren, Hudson, Hayden Levesque, Chase Hayden and Jordan Grant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Charlie's favourite charity and one to which he donated his time yearly.
