She was predeceased by: her father Ludwig Heinzmann. She is survived by: her mother Linda Heinzmann (Robar); her husband Wayne Gray; her daughters, Amber Gray (Stephen) and Allison Heinzmann (Max); her grandchildren, Layla Davidson, Austin and Michael Landry Heinzmann; her brother Timothy Heinzmann (Glenda); her niece Haileigh Heinzmann; her nephews, Jesse and Tyson Heinzmann; her sister Marcelene Robar; and her nieces, Ashley and Samantha MacDearmid. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in Dorothea's honor to the Hospice House in Fredericton.
