He was predeceased by : his father Maurice Schmidt; his brother Yohann Schmidt; his father-in-law Patrice Truchon; and his uncle Régis Fortin. He is survived by : his mother Hélène Schmidt (Fortin); his wife Maryse Schmidt (Foisy-Clavette); his sons, Félix and Simon Schmidt; and his half-sister Marie-Andrée Truchon. He is also survived by his many friends and co-workers.
