Louis Wayne Bosh Obituary

Louis Wayne "John" Bosh, age 78, of Oromocto, NB, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB, on March 8, 2026. Born on May 29, 1947, in Glace Bay, NS, he was the son of the late Louis and Margaret (White) Boch. He was predeceased by his siblings Lois, Joe, Margie, and Lila.

John joined the military in 1964 and spent the majority of his career with the 8th Canadian Hussars of the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps. Postings and exercises took him around the world to places such as Germany, Texas, and Quebec during the FLQ Crisis. He served two tours in Cyprus as a UN Peacekeeper. Upon retirement from the armed forces in 1993, he shifted away from tanks and toward courier trucks, working for Midland Courier and setting up his own business, Home & Commercial Light Trucking. An opportunity to work as a civilian at Base Gagetown brought him back to work with the military once more, where he shipped dangerous goods for CMTT at Transportation Company before retiring from the Public Service in 2008.

A fan of the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Blue Jays, he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his favourite teams. A supporter of local events, for many years John enjoyed attending hockey games, the car races in Geary, and the nightly panel discussions held with his friends at the Tim Hortons in Oromocto.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Sandra (Blizzard) Bosh, and by his dear daughter and friend, Christina (Craig) MacFadgen.

A true light in our lives, he will be dearly missed, remembered fondly, and cherished always.

A graveside committal service will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to a charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated.
