Peter Smith Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Smith (Oromocto, New Brunswick), born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Smith and Eleanor Smith (Kelly); his brother-in-law G. P. Morris; his parents-in-law, Gertrude and Thomas Murphy; and his brother-in-law Thomas Murphy Jr..

He is survived by : his wife Gladys (Murphy); his children, Erika of Halifax, NS and Shawn of Fredericton, NB; and his siblings, Audrey Morris of Charlottetown, PE and Paul Smith (Rona) of Charlottetown, PE. He is also survived by nephew, numerous nieces and cousins.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church at CFB Gagetown on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 10:00 am with a reception to follow at the Oromocto Funeral Home from 11:15 – 12:15. (masks are requested at both events).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honour to the Canadian Cancer Society, Oromocto SPCA, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
