It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Abbott (Oromocto, New Brunswick), born in Whitbourne, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 22, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Thomas Suley and Bertha Suley; her children, Marilyn Abbott-Charters (Stephen), Robert Abbott (Regina) and Carla Abbott; her grandchildren, Pamela Fulton (Chris), Julia Lavery (Jim), Thomas Charters (Janelle), Nicole Emmerson (Mark) and Calli Abbott; her siblings, Gwen Noseworthy, Minnie Mercer and Clarence Suley; and her husband Lloyd Robert Abbott of St. John's, Newfoundland..

Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be a private funeral service with an interment in Oromocto Pioneer Gardens to follow.

For those who wish, memorial donations in memory of Rita may be made to Hospice House.
