We announce the death of Robert George Nickerson (Oromocto, New Brunswick), who passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Redverse Nickerson and Ivey Nickerson (Hawes); and his siblings, Carl Nickerson, Gladys Fisher, Dorothy Thomas and Thelma.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Rose Marie Surrette; his children, Robert Nickerson (Shelly), Shirley Heinekamp (Herman), Dorothy Carr (Kelly), Eva Blanchet (Jacques), Christina Corrier (Howie) and Vivian LeBlanc (JP); and his sister Eva Jenkins. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oromocto Funeral Home (108 Winnebago St, Oromocto, NB E2V1C7). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel (108 Winnebago St, Oromocto, NB E2V1C7).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name can be made to the Oromocto Food Bank.
