He was predeceased by: his mother Stella MacDonald; and his grandson Colin Junior. He is survived by: his wife Emma; and his children, Marjorie (Ted), Billie, Liz (Denis), Colin, Joyce, Steven (Imelda), Susan (Kerry) and Kathy (David). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
