He was predeceased by : his parents, Lemuel Parish and Elizabeth Parish (Jenkins); and his siblings, Rena, Evelyn, Anna, Herman, Perry and Stephen.

He is survived by : his children, Tanya (Clint) of New Denmark, Brian (Val) of Manitoba and Tara (Alex) of Alberta; the mother of his children Marilyn (Alden) of Perth-Andover; his grandchildren, Andrew (Alexis) of New Denmark, Allan of New Denmark, Matteah (Leslie) of Halifax, Melissa (Gord) of Manitoba, Brendan (Mary Ellen) of Saskatchewan, River (Michelle) of Alberta and Rylan (Jared) of Alberta; his great grandchildren, Miller and Macklyn of Alberta; and his siblings, Wendal (Shirley), Russell (Shirley), Doug (Sandra), Boyd, Ester (late Clarence) and Peggy (Hughie).
