He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Lewis and Gladys Lewis (Smith). He is survived by : his wife Thelma Lewis (Campbell); his sons, Barry Lewis (Penny) of Lethbridge, AB and Timothy Lewis (Julie) of North Bay, ON; his granddaughter Melissa Forsyth (Jeff) of Lethbridge, AB; his great grandchildren, Claire and Jackson Forsyth; and his siblings, Vicki Robertson (Tom) of Chatham ON, Susan Parent of Chatham, ON, Sally Rumford of Chatham ON, Patrick Lewis (Lynn) of Dresden, ON and Robert Lewis (Laura) of Chatham, ON..

Due to the Covid-19 travel restrictions, a memorial service celebrating Ron's life will be held in 2021.
