He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barry and Ida Barry (Belton); and his daughter Jennifer Bourque. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Beers (Bert); his daughter Heather Barry; his granddaughter Riley Rae Bourque; his sister Kay Dyer (Blair) of Halifax; his niece Keley Doiron; and his nephews, Jeff Beers and Steve Dyer.
