He was predeceased by: his son Joshua Cormier; and his grandfathers, Julien Cormier (Anita) and Albert Cormier (Yvonne). He is survived by: his wife Kelly; his children, Cody, Isaac and Addison; his parents, Donald and Julia; his brothers, Daniel (April Lynn) and Gilles (Amanda); his nieces and nephews, Jordan, Jonathan, Noah, Caleb, Colby, Olivia and Emily; his siblings-in-law, Tracey Phinney (Scott), Kevin Tower and Timothy Tower; and his in-laws, David and Janet Tower. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Donations in memory of Marcel can be made to Sackville Minor Hockey, the Strait Shores Fire Department, or a charity of one's choice.
