He was predeceased by: his parents, Wietse Larooi and Martha Larooi. He is survived by: his children, Lysbeth of Saint John and William (Sarah); his grandchildren, Adelynn and Arie of Cochrane, AB; and his siblings, Boukje, Annie and Sjoerd. He is also survived by his in-laws, 6 nieces and a nephew, and many good friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dirk's memory may be made to the Saint Andrews Kirk United Church Cemetery Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
