With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Lockhart (Quispamsis, New Brunswick), born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 2, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Guy O'Connell and Sarah O'Connell (Doucette); her husband Howard; her sons, Peter and James; her granddaughter Stephanie McSweeney; her siblings, Pauline Blades and Clifford O'Connell; and her sons-in-law, Michael McSweeney and Warren Gillis.

She is survived by : her children, Paula Gillis of Saint John, Sandra McSweeney of Hampton, Virginia, Susan Balemans (Nick) of Quispamsis, John Lockhart (Pam) of Minto and Douglas (Pam) of Quispamsis; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Lockhart. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
