It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Edward Donovan (Quispamsis, New Brunswick), born in Saint John, New Brunswick, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Clement Donovan and Olive Donovan (Prince); and his sisters, Mary Cooke (Robert), Jeanne Tweedie and Barbara Pickard (Charles).

He is survived by : his wife Carole Donovan (Ratchford); his stepchildren, Tony Ratchford (Suzanne), Keith Ratchford (Heather MacInnes) and Christina Thorne (Brian); his siblings, Douglas Donovan (Betty) and Janet Devlin (Paul); his sister-in-law Barbara Burgoyne; his grandchildren, Sarah Ratchford (Jeffrey Bell), Colin Ratchford, Meghan Thorne, Craig Thorne and Nicholas Thorne; and his nephews, Michael Tweedie, Mark Donovan and Brian Cooke. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

For those who wish, donations in memory of Jack can be made to the Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor'schoice.
