He was predeceased by : his parents, Patrick J. Richard of Rexton, N. B. and Sheila Richard (Wingfield) of England; and his sister Patsy Richard. He is survived by : his wife Regina P. Dunne; his children, Robert Roy (Tabitha Louise Riley) and Amanda Richard (Doug Acker); and his brothers, Kevin of Rexton, N. B., James "Jimmy" of Rexton, N. B. and John "Johnny" Richard of Rexton, N. B.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donations in his memory may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Cancer Society.
