With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bonita Augustine (Richibouctou-Village, New Brunswick), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 31, 2026 at the age of 58. She was predeceased by: her father Frank Augustine. She is survived by: her mother Josephine "Josie" Augustine of Elsipogtog; her significant other Peter Lafford; her daughters, Sheranda Augustine (Ricco) of Elsipogtog, Shenisa Augustine of Indian Brook, NS, Twyla Lafford of Elsipogtog, Keanna Augustine of Elsipogtog and Nika Lafford of Elsipogtog; her siblings, Daphne Augustine (Peter) of Brown's Yard, Dwayne of Elsipogtog, Augustine (Lisa) of Elsipogtog, Keane Augustine (Holly) of Elsipogtog, Yale Augustine (Amanda) of Elsipogtog, Nikiea Augustine (Selena) of Elsipogtog and Koby Augustine of Elsipogtog; her grandchildren, Baby Darren, Damaris, Delilah, Asher, Bauer and Kyrus; and her pet Tucker Lafford. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at 90 Levi St, Richibucto 15, NB E4W2W5. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church (202 Main St, Elsipogtog First Nation, NB E4W2X9).
