She was predeceased by : her parents, William Babineau and Adelina (Babineau); her husband Norman Downey; her siblings, Marie, Rosie, Rita, Sophie, Albert, Emile and André; her half-brothers, Antoine, Gerard, Jean-Baptiste, Alyre and Jérome; and her granddaughter Lauren.
She is survived by : her sons, William Downey (Diane) of Richibouctou-Village and Ronald "Ronnie" Downey (Celeste) of Oregon; her granddaughters, Nicole, Carol and Sarah; her great grandchildren, Angelina and Milanya; and her sisters-in-law, Yvonne Babineau of Richibouctou-Village and Clara Babineau of St. Louis.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
