He was predeceased by: his parents, Camille Blanchard and Marie Anne Blanchard (Berubé); and his siblings, Yvon, Lorraine, Camilla and Rina.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Blanchard (Cormier) of St. Louis; his sons, Michel Blanchard (Marie-Lyne) of Dieppe and Robert Blanchard (Eveline) of Richibucto; his granddaughters, Amélie "Mimi" and Arianne (Shawn); his foster sisters, Jacqueline and Rita; and his siblings, Gilberte Weeks (Gregory) of Ottawa, Jacqueline "Jackie" Glendenning (late Willard) of Jardineville, Raymonde Gallant (Elie) of Moncton, Geraldine Gallant (Ronald) of Grand Barachois, Gerald Blanchard (Carmen) of St. Louis, Albert Blanchard (Maria) of St. Charles, Rhéal Blanchard (late Marie) of St. Louis and Gilles Blanchard (Rita) of St. Louis. He is also survived by many nieces and, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Thompson's Funeral Home (33 Rue Acadie, Richibouctou, NB E4W 3V1). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Borromée Roman Catholic Church.
