Ernest Maillet Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ernest Maillet (Richibucto, New Brunswick), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Laurent Maillet and Lucie (Chevarie); his wife Alda Maillet (Guimond); and his siblings, Antoine and Catherine.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Maillet (Marvi DeGuzman) of Edmonton, Bernard Maillet (Pauline) of Dieppe, Antoine Maillet (Diana) of Saint-Charles, Lucie Maillet (Léandre Frigault) of Saint-Louis and Dianne Maillet (Pierre Pitre) of McKees Mills; his grandchildren, Monique, Mathieu, Antonio, Justin, Nancy, Gaëtan, Joëlle, Samuel, Julie and Michael; and his brother-in-law René Guimond (Jeanne) of Rogersville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Thompson's Funeral Home (33 Rue Acadie, Richibouctou, NB E4W 3V1). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church (9447 NB-134, Richibucto, NB E4W4B9).
Donations in memory of Ernest may be made to the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
