We bid farewell to Garnet Leonard Ackerson (Ripples, New Brunswick), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 1, 2025 at the age of 71. Garnet Leonard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ackerson and Evelyn Ackerson (MacKay); his wife Doreen; his daughter Tina Banks; and his siblings, Weldon Ackerson, Freda Young, Judy Parsons (late Eldon), Betty Munn (late Reginald), Viola McLean (late Charles) and Eleanor Hargreaves-Munn (late Bryce Hargreaves).
He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Sparks (Tim) and Jackie Vinet (Dave); his siblings, Floyd Ackerson (Joan), Ernie Ackerson (Wanda), Daryl Ackerson (Gayle), Roger Ackerson (Rhonda), Wayne Ackerson, Marie Pelkey (late Ed), Cheryl Smith (Warren), Lorna MacBeth (Eldon) and Carole MacKenzie (James); and his brother-in-law Ivan Young (Anna Ackerson). He is also survived by many grand children and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ripples United Pentecostal Church (548 NB-670, Ripples, NB E4B1E5).
Donations in honor of Garnet can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
