He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Cyr and Judith Cyr (Boucher); and his siblings, Annie McKnight (late Shepherd), Anita Jack (late Robert), Justine, Wilfred (late Laura), Louis (late Louise), Paul, Alyre (late Millie) and Ivan (late Ethel).

He is survived by: his wife Janice LeBlanc; his children, Danielle LeBlanc-Cyr (Pascal) of Dieppe, Tammy Cyr-Gourley (Robert) of River Glade, Denise Coughlin (Paul) of Plumsweep and Brian Cyr Jr. (Rebecca) of River Glade; the mother of his children Mary Corah (Owen); his granddaughter Amanda Gourley (Kevin); his great grandchild Jaxon of River Glade; his grandson Nicholas Gourley (Cassie); his great grandchild Paityn of Dieppe; his granddaughter Rebecca Garnett (Brody); his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Weston and Calden of Havelock; his grandchildren, Desiree Beamin of Plumsweep, Timothy Beamin of Guelph, ON and Connor Cyr of Colpitts Settlement; his siblings, Mame Grey (late Frederick) of Saint John, Irene Tennant (Lloyd) of Lake Charlotte, ON, Max (Audrey) of Hanover, ON and Benny (Judy) of Blue Mountain, ON.; and his nephew Allan McKnight (Brian). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces.
