He was predeceased by: his father Charles; his sister Elizabeth Neilson; his brother-in-law Alexander Neilson (Sandy); his brother Reginald Mason; and his sister-in-law Joan Mason.
He is survived by: his pets, Mac, Clipper, Kojack, Scruffy and Angus; his wife Vida Black; his children, Gregor Black (Rachel) and Catherine Black (Byron Bridger); his sisters, Jennifer Draffan (Harry) and Rosemary Ogilvie (James); his siblings-in-law, Gordon Woolridge, Eric Woolridge (Annie), Bruce Woolridge (Shelly) and Sadie Edwards (Gordon); his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Abigail, Gavin and Charlotte; his extended family, Douglas and Valerie Tweedie; and also Bay of Exploits. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A reception was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center (330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview, NB E1B0E4).
