He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Trites and Elsie Trites; his daughter Cheryl; and his brothers, Earl, Roy, Gerald and Lloyd.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Debbie (Laurie) of Riverview, Ron of Riverview and Kevin of Cocagne; his grandchildren, Kyle Trites (Megan), Ashley Trites (Wes) and Aaron Beaumont; his great grandchildren, Teghan Trites, Eric, Jaxon Douthwright, Hunter Trites and Kylie Wheaton; his sisters, June Vessey (Dave), Kathleen Leaman (late Reg) and Jean Pond (Earl); and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Trites (Earl) and Brenda Leaman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donation to the Journey Church, Heart and Stroke Association, or the Lung Association would greatly be appreciated by the family.
