He was predeceased by : his mother Lillian (Douthwright); and his children, Garnet and JoAnn Lynn Nielsen (Steeves). He is survived by : his granddaughters, Rebecca and Rachel; his daughter Norma Jean Schmidt (Steeves); his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Benjamin and Ayla; his son Michael Roland Steeves; and his grandson Matthew.
