He was predeceased by: his parents, George Crossman and Lena Crossman (Vautour); his sisters, Thelma Gillespie, Georgina McCavour, Audrey McKeen and Donna McKeen; and his half-siblings, Simone Murray (Don), Suzanne Brun (Dan) and Joseph Vienneau.
He is survived by: his close friend Rose Fournier; his children, Amanda, Glory-Jo, James Leonard and Michael; his sisters, Linda Hayward (George) and Nancy Jay (Stewart); and his half-siblings, Nicole LeGresley (Jason Simms) and Victor Vankroonenburgh (Brenda).
In keeping with George's wishes, cremation has taken place at Tuttle Brothers Crematorium Requested Charity Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
