He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Spare and Pauline Spare (Bernier). He is survived by: his wife Karen (Crawford); his sons, Paul Spare (Stacey) of Ottawa, ON and David Spare of Halifax, NS; his sisters, Virginia Bell (Jim) of Martins River, NS, Suzanne Spare of Lunenburg, NS and Nancy Unsworth (Bradley) of Amsterdam, Netherlands.; and his grandchildren, Ceilidh and Lukas.
