He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Power and Teresa Power (White); his wife Norma; his siblings, Michael, Betty Anne and Bill; his daughter Tara; his sister Terry Duggan (Al); and his sister-in-law Fran Power.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Shirley) of Halifax, N. S. and Susan MacDonald (Bryan) of Moncton, N. B.; his grandchildren, Meghan, Ryan and Quinn; his siblings, Joseph (Margie) of Halifax, N. S., David of Charlottetown, PEI, Dianne Sturdy (Gordon) of Halifax, N. S., Mary Lou Clifford (David) of Halifax, N. S. and Sandra (Gary Webster) of Stewiacke, N. S.; and his sister-in-law Cecilia Power of Halifax, N. S.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church (43 Botsford St, Moncton, NB E1C4W9). A burial was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Fair Haven Memorial Gardens (1167 Salisbury Rd, Moncton, NB E1E3V9).
In Gerry's memory and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Moncton Hospital Foundation (https://friendsfoundation.ca), Dr. George L.
