She was predeceased by: her parents, Watson Murray and Julia Murray (Mitchell); her husband Basil Anketell; her son Randolph; and her grandson Jason Anketell.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Anketell (Jean Cormier), Sandra Newman (Garnet DeMerchant) and Wayne (Julie); her grandchildren, Randolph, Crystal, Amanda, Jillian, Jeremy, Jennifer, Melissa and Kurtis; and her siblings, Mary Currie, Nancy MacNaughton (Keith), Sharon Snook, Jean Godfrey, Jane Alaine, James Murray (Ruth), Fred Murray, Ken Murray and Michael Murray (Lillian). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
