He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chisholm and Bertha Chisholm; and his sister Beth. He is survived by: his wife Faye Chisholm; his daughter Raquel Chisholm (Ron Huse); his grandson Ethan Huse; and his sister Carol David. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory can be made to either the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or the War Amps of Canada.
