Joseph Leger Obituary

Joe Leger, 85, passed away peacefully at Monarch Hall in Riverview, N.B. on Monday, January 22nd, 2018. Born in Port Elgin, N.B. he was the son of the late Edgar and Christine Legere. Joe will be lovingly missed by his children, Paul (Rose), Rod (Pauline), Terry (Sue) and Susan (Chris Cudmore), his grandchildren Stephanie (Eddie Ingrahm), Jessica Cudmore, Jamie Leger (Jen), Julia (James Knowles), Ben Leger, as well as his great-grandchildren, Cash and Violet Knowles and Eleanor Rose Leger.

Joe was predeceased by his beloved wife Ethel, daughter in law Mary Leger and grandson Christopher Leger. Previous to retirement, Joe provided contract services to the Town of Riverview for many years. Throughout his entire life, Joe was involved in playing, singing, and encouraging others to enjoy the beauty of music. He was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for many years.

Joe also held a great love of animals, especially dogs. Per Joe"s request, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the S.P.C.A.
