She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodor Goerner and Elisabeth Goerner; her husband Howard; and her brother Klaus Goerner (Gisila) of Ontario. She is survived by: her daughter Renate Schäfer (Manfred) of Germany; her grandchildren, Thomas, Annette and Elisabeth; and her great grandchild Julia. She is also survived by 3 sisters in Germany, and several nieces and nephews.
