With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lynda Mae Petrie (Riverview, New Brunswick), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Glen; her husband Arnold; her son Andrew Petrie; and her sister Shirley. She is survived by: her son Matthew Petrie; her daughter-in-law Trish Petrie-Maillet (James); her grandchildren, Alex, Brady Petrie and Ashley Bourgeois; and her siblings, Lois Lafferty-McCaughan and David McCaughan (Jacquie). She is also survived by many extended family members, including nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Donations made in memory of Lynda to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.

“I am so sorry for your loss. I have many, many fond memories of Lynda reflecting many years of of love and laughter. Curling, golf and Bridge were the focus for many of us. Glenna Webster was an inspiration to all of us. Moments at the cottage playing Bridge with Shirley Ford. I recently ran into Lynda at our mutual Doctor’s office and hugged each other like we didn’t want to let go. Her family was always her focus and loved to tell us how proud she was of her boys. Our sincere sympathy.”
