We announce the death of Melissa Smith (Riverview, New Brunswick), who passed away on June 6, 2026. Melissa will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William McCrea and Elsie McCrea; her husband Alan George "Jim" Smith; her son Stephen Parlee; and her son-in-law Derek Stone.

She is survived by: her children, Darren Parlee (Beth), Jason Parlee (Toni) and Simone Stone; her daughter-in-law Karen Parlee; her brothers, James McCrea (Shelia) and Richard "Rick" McCrea (Edith); her grandchildren, Michael, Katie, Stephen, Adam, Jasmine, Cheyanne, Emily and Miranda; and her great grandchild Sadie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations in her memory made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by her family.
